Being a homemaker for women can stem from either choice or circumstance. However, regardless of the reason, at some point, many women feel inspired to venture beyond their domestic duties and pursue a career comeback. This impetus may be driven by financial necessity or a desire to establish a unique sense of self.

Mrs. Rajashri Sandip Patil is one such inspiring example of a homemaker, a 33 years old homemaker who is now in the journey of stepping forward to her career and making her own identity.

In 1990, Rajashri was born into a middle-class family in Bhusawal. She completed her schooling in the vernacular medium at Bhusawal and went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. However, after taking her final exams, she got married in May 2010.

After completing her graduation, Rajashri also took the entrance exams for MBA and MCA. Two months into her marriage, she received the news that she had passed her graduation with distinction.

Shortly thereafter, the entrance exam results were also announced, and Rajashri learned that she had been selected by a university due to her outstanding scholarship and dedication as a student.

However, being newly married, she was faced with a difficult decision regarding where to place her priorities. Ultimately, she chose her family over pursuing further education and declined the university’s offer.

In 2011, Rajashri became a mother to a baby boy and was fully occupied with her motherhood duties. In 2013, her family encouraged her to reconsider continuing her education. She regained her confidence and began preparing for the MBA entrance exam, which she successfully cleared. Rajashri completed her MBA in Human Resource from Jalgaon University in 2015.

After completing her degree, Rajashri joined an HR department at a firm. However, she had to resign after working for only 4 to 6 months because she gave birth to her second child. Once again, she chose to prioritize her motherhood over her career and did not pursue further opportunities.

Rajashri enjoyed parenting her children and fulfilling all her responsibilities. However, after playing the role of a good homemaker and mother for seven years, she felt like something was missing. Although she always prioritized her family, she felt determined and passionate about doing something with her professional studies and work experience.

Rajashri faced many challenges while applying for jobs due to doubts about her skills and difficulty explaining her career gap during interviews. Additionally, she was struggling to find job suggestions that aligned with her interests and family priorities.

As a result, Rajashri decided to analyze her priorities, interests, and career goals before taking any further steps. She was concerned about her skills being rusty and her ability to adapt to the constantly changing technological landscape after a long break from work. Therefore, she decided to update her skills with the latest in-demand technologies before re-entering the workforce.

Rajashri’s Career Comeback as a Digital Marketer

Rajashri discovered STAENZ Academy through a Google search and contacted them for counseling. During the session, she learned about a free Career Comeback Event on Women’s Day, which was specifically designed for women who had taken a career break and were looking to restart their careers. Rajashri attended the workshop and was motivated by what she learned there.

She then enrolled in a 4-month Advanced Digital Marketing Course at STAENZ Academy and began learning all the new skills of Digital Marketing. With the help of the academy, she applied these skills practically and easily completed her tasks during the learning period.

After four months of hard work, Rajashri successfully cleared the internship interview round and is currently interning with the academy. She is performing exceptionally well and is now ready to face job interviews with full confidence. She expects to be placed in a reputable firm within a month.

“a career comeback is neither easy nor difficult. All it requires is you and your willingness to take a stand for yourself and your career” .

I really appreciate Rajashri for her learning spirit and mainly starting her career back after such a long break with a great enthusiasm.
